Extracurricular activities 14.03.2016 - 20.03.2016

We love the activities! We enjoy it and we discover more about Salamanca, keep improving your Spanish! :)

Monday 14th, 6:30 pm: Karaoke – We encourage you to sing at the top of your lungs! We wait for you at the bar of the school.
Approximate duration: 1h.

Tuesday 15th, 4.20 pm: Conversation workshop – The workshops of teacher Cristina are a great opportunity to keep practising our Spanish!.
Approximate duration: 1h.

Wednesday 16th, 3.45 pm: Horse riding – We go for a walk riding on a horse! An amazing experience! 
Don’t forget to reserve your place before Tuesday 15th.

Thursday 17th, 6.25 pm: Language exchange – We are going to the bar of the school with Spanish and English students, organised by groups we will meet new people practising languages at the same time!
Approximate duration: 1h. 

Friday 18th, 7:30 pm: Tapas tour – We love this activity! A perfect moment to relax tasting the best tapas in the city! Join us!
Approximate duration: 1h 30min.

Saturday 19th Sunday 20th: Trips – We have some great destinations for this week-end’s excursion!

We´d like to remind you that it´s necessary to sign up for each activity in order to reserve a spot; a minimum of 3 people is normally required. The meeting point is always Tía Tula, unless we inform you otherwise. 

The activities are not only for having fun (that´s a guarantee). They´re also meant for you to improve your knowledge of the culture in Salamanca and Spain, and to use the Spanish that you learn in class.

Extracurricular activities 15.02.2016 - 21.02.2016

There isn´t a week that goes by at Tía Tula that isn´t special :)
Take a look at this week´s activities:

Monday, February 15, 18:00: Snack – We´ll spend a very sweet afternoon thanks to the delicious sweets at La Manolita, the school café.
Time: 1 hour

Tuesday, February 16, 16:20: Conversation workshop – Take advantage of this workshop to continue practicing your Spanish! It´s a great opportunity! 
Time: 1 hour

Wednesday, February 17, 18:20: Board games – We love the time that we spend at La Manolita, the school café. This time, we´ll learn how to play various board games. :) 
Time: 1 hour

Thursday, March 18, 16:55: Dance class – We´ll learn the basic steps of Latin dancing. It´s going to be very fun! 
Time: 1 hour

Friday, March 19, 18:20: Language exchange – We´ll enjoy the perfect combination of meeting people and practicing our language skills, all thanks to our language exchanges with students who speak English and Spanish. We´ll be waiting for you at La Manolita, the school café. 
Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21: Trips – Find out information from the school office about the places we recommend visiting on the weekend.

We´d like to remind you that it´s necessary to sign up for each activity in order to reserve a spot; a minimum of 3 people is normally required. The meeting point is always Tía Tula, unless we inform you otherwise.

Extracurricular activities 18.01.2016 - 24.01.2016


Here we start the week with some activities which will give as a smile, have a look into Tía Tula’s fun!

Monday 18th, 6.20 pm: Billiards – We will meet in a bar in the city centre to play pool, are you coming?.
Approximate duration: 1h 30min

Tuesday 19th, 6:20 pm: Exhibition – We are going to Archivo General de la Guerra Civil Española. It is a very interesting museum about the history of the civil war, it worth a visit!
Approximate duration: 1h

Wednesday 20th, 3:45 pm: Horse riding – Horse riding in the Charro countryside. It's going to be a great experience! Don’t forget to reserve your place before Tuesday 19th!

Thursday 21st, 4:20 pm.: Conversation workshop – The best opportunity to keep improving our speaking Spanish with teacher Cristina.
Approximate duration: 1h

Friday 22nd, 6:20 pm: Language exchange –Perfect opportunity to meet Spanish people and improve your Spanish speaking skills.
Approximate duration: 1h

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th: Excursions – Please ask at the reception desk for more information.

Extracurricular activities 14.09.2015 - 20.09.2015



What a great start of the week with all our activities!
Dramatised tour, conversation workshop, boat trip, film, microtheatre... Let's practice our Spanish with all the activities of this week:

Monday 14, 5:00 pm: Dramatised tour – Today we are going to get to know Salamanca a bit better and in a different way.
Approximate duration: 1h30

Tuesday 15, 4:30 pm: Conversation workshop – Teacher Cristina will suggest some topics and help you get better at speaking Spanish.
Approximate duration: 1h

Wednesday 16, 4:30 pm: Boat trip – Tía Tula will take us to a boat trip along the river Tormes (pedal boats or rowing).
Approximate duration: 1h

Thursday 17, 4:00 pm: Film – Come enjoy a good Spanish film.
Approximate duration: 112 min. 

Friday 18, 7:30 pm: Microtheatre – We are heading to La Malhablada  to enjoy a microtheatre play.
Approximate duration: 30 min.

Saturday 19 and Sunday 20: Excursions – Segovia and Ávila, Aveiro, Lisbon and Fátima, or Sierra de Francia and La Alberca... We have a range of trips for the perfect end to the week! Please ask for further information at the reception desk.

Extracurricular activities 27.07.2015 - 2.08.2015












This week we bid farewell to July with some great extracurricular activities that will get you to practise your Spanish and dive into our culture. Are you going to miss out?

Monday 27, 5:00 pm: Film - Spanish cinema session. Great for improving your listening skills.
Tuesday 28, 4:30 pm: Theatre workshop - We are heading to espacio al_margen for some theatrical exercises. You will have fun and gain confidence in expressing yourselves.

Wednesday 29, 5:00 pm: Conversation workshop - Teacher Cristina will suggest some topics and help you get better at speaking Spanish.

Thursday 30, 7:30 pm: Tapas tour - Here comes again, a great chance to meet people, practise what you learn in class and savor some delicious Spanish tapas.

Friday 31, 7:15 pm: Cinema - We will take you to the cinema where you will watch a film of your choice.

Saturday 1 y Sunday 2 - One-day or two-day excursions to several destinations. Further information at the reception desk.

Extracurricular activities 4.05.2015 - 10.05.2015

Let's welcome May with this fun-filled activities!


Monday 4, 7:00 pm: Games in the park (or a bar) - If we are lucky with the weather, we'll head for a park and spend the afternoon playing games and having fun. Otherwise, we will go to a bar.
Approximate duration: 1 h. 

Tuesday 5, 8:00 pm: Cookery class – This week we will learn how to cook a delicious paella which we will, of course, eat aftwerwards.. 
Approximate duration: 1 h.

Wednesday 6, 6:15 pm: Cielo de Salamanca + Cueva de Salamanca – Come discover two of the most charming spots in Salamanca and their history and legends.
Approximate duration: 45 min.

Thursday 7, 6:50 pm: Conversation workshop - Teacher Cristina will get you talking. Fun guaranteed!
Approximate duration: 1 h.

Friday 8, 19:45 pm: Tapas tour - Delicious tapas in some of the best bars in the centre of Salamanca. Sounds like a good plan, doesn't it?
Approximate duration: 1 h 30 min.

Saturday 9: Excursions - Where do you feel like going today? Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, La Alberca, Sierra de Francia... You choose. Further information at the reception desk.

Sunday 10: Excursions - Leon and Astorga. Further information at the reception desk.

Activities 16.03.2015 - 21.03.2015

This week we have organised activities for every taste. Check them out and sign up for those you don't want to miss.

Monday 16, 6:50 pm: Conversation workshop – A great opportunity to improve your Spanish speaking skills while you have fun. With teacher Cristina. Approximate duration: 1 h.

Tuesday 17, 5:45 pm: Indoor swimming pool – Let's take a deep in the indoor swimming pool at La Alamedilla. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit, swimming cap, flip flops and towel. Approximate duration: 1 h 30 min.

Wednesday 18, 6:00 pm: Plaza Mayor – Come learn about the history of Plaza Mayor. Approximate duration. 40 min.

Thursday 19, 7:45 pm: Microtheatre – We love the microtheatre plays that show in
La Malhablada.We'll go see one today. Approximate duration: 30 min.
A different option: go on a trip to Valencia's Fallas. Further information at the reception desk.

Friday 20, 4:30: Film – Watching films in Spanish is a great way to improve your language skills. Join us for one today.

Saturday 21: Excursions – Segovia, Ávila, Oporto... Check out the destinations available at the reception desk and start planning your weekend trip. Don't forget to sign up by Wednesday.
