Extracurricular activities 07.03.2016 - 13.03.2016

A whole bunch of activities await us this week! Take a look and make sure to reserve a spot. 

Monday, March 7, 18:25h: Board games – We´ll spend the late afternoon and evening at La Manolita, the school café, playing various board games. We´ll be waiting for you!

Time: 1 hour

Tuesday, March 8, 18:00h: Swimming – We´ll relax at the indoor pool at La Alamedilla. 

Time: 1 hour

Wednesday, March 9, 19:30: Literary gathering – Professor Carmen López will accompany us to a literary gathering, where filmmaker Miguel Ángel Refoyo will speak at the Sala de la Palabra at the Teatro Liceo. You can find out more information here: Asociación Cultural Pentadrama 

Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Thursday, March 10, 16:55h: Dance class – We´re going to learn the basic steps of Latin dancing.

Time: 1 hour

Friday, March 11, 17:30h: Bike ride – Are you up for joining us for a bike ride through Salamanca? A very fun and alternative way to continue discovering the city.

Time: 1 hour

Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13: Trips – If you´d like to go on a trip this weekend, check with the school office to find out information on the different places we can recommend.

We´d like to remind you that it´s necessary to sign up for each activity in order to reserve a spot; a minimum of 3 people is normally required. The meeting point is always Tía Tula, unless we inform you otherwise. 

The activities are not only for having fun (that´s a guarantee). They´re also meant for you to improve your knowledge of the culture in Salamanca and Spain, and to use the Spanish that you learn in class.

Monday 20, 4:30 pm: Dramatised tour – Today we are going to get to know Salamanca a bit better and in a different way.

Approximate duration: 2 h.

Tuesday 21, 6:00 pm: Make your own postcards workshop – Looking for a postcard to send back home? Why don't you create your own? Come to our workshop at la papelería-atelier Atentamente.

Approximate duration: 1 h.

Wednesday 22, 4:00 pm: Swimming pool – Time for a splash. Join us!

Approximate duration: 2 h.

Thursday 23, 5:00 pm: Spanish music in the 80s – Teacher Elena will walk us through a very important period of Spanish music, the 80s. Super fun songs await you.

Approximate duration: 1 h.

Friday 24, 7:30 pm: Microtheathre – We are heading to La Malhablada  to enjoy a microtheatre play.

Approximate duration: 40 min.

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26: Excursions – Looking forward to a one-day or a weekend trip? Come by the reception desk to check the destinations available.

Please don't forget that you need to sign up for each activity at the reception desk (in order to reserve your place). The minimum number of participants required for each activity is usually three. Unless otherwise stated, the meeting point is Tía Tula school.

Try to participate in as many activities as you can; they are designed not just for you to have fun, but also to improve your knowledge of Salamanca and Spanish culture, and to put into practice the Spanish you have learnt in class.

This week we have organised activities for every taste. Check them out and sign up for those you don't want to miss.

Monday 16, 6:50 pm: Conversation workshop – A great opportunity to improve your Spanish speaking skills while you have fun. With teacher Cristina. Approximate duration: 1 h.

Tuesday 17, 5:45 pm: Indoor swimming pool – Let's take a deep in the indoor swimming pool at La Alamedilla. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit, swimming cap, flip flops and towel. Approximate duration: 1 h 30 min.

Wednesday 18, 6:00 pm: Plaza Mayor – Come learn about the history of Plaza Mayor. Approximate duration. 40 min.

Thursday 19, 7:45 pm: Microtheatre – We love the microtheatre plays that show in
La Malhablada.We'll go see one today. Approximate duration: 30 min.
A different option: go on a trip to Valencia's Fallas. Further information at the reception desk.

Friday 20, 4:30: Film – Watching films in Spanish is a great way to improve your language skills. Join us for one today.

Saturday 21: Excursions – Segovia, Ávila, Oporto... Check out the destinations available at the reception desk and start planning your weekend trip. Don't forget to sign up by Wednesday.
