The arts festival 2012

From 13th to 17th June, the amazing festival called "el Festival de las Artes de Castilla y León" (FÀCYL) is going to be held in Salamanca. With support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the ´Junta de Castilla y Leon´, the 8th edition is expected to be more enthusiastic than ever before. 

So, which kind of festival is it? In short, it is a cultural event mixed with modern, traditional, international and national elements for example, theatre, dance, urban interventions, exhibitions, literature, films, public, artists, workshops, contemporary proposals, cultural exchange, concerts, performances etc. There are many famous artists and performers from both Spain and abroad making it a truly international event. In addition, FÀCYL 2012 focuses on the theme "FÀCYL alive", it emphasizes the importance of maintaining arts and culture alive in these times of change and economic austerity. "FÀCYL alive" invites everyone who lives in Salamanca and is interested in arts to experience with enthusiasm each of the artistic performances, to find the magic in all of them.
