Pancake Day 21/02/12

So yesterday was Pancake Day and that means only one thing…pancakes of course! I´m sure many pancakes were consumed with various different toppings and maybe there were even some pancake parties. I myself went to one and amidst the filling and devouring of the pancakes, out pops the question I’m sure all pancake celebrating people dread…

“What´s the difference between a pancake and a crepe?”

Well, after a little research, I´m now going to lay this to rest. The difference is in the “depth, cooking and size” If it´s thin and quite large, this is a crepe whereas if it´s a little thicker…this is a pancake. Crepes are also only cooked on one side. They say crepes are always filled more than pancakes but after last nights array of fillings…I don´t believe that.

So there you have it, if you´re ever asked this question again, there´ll be no grey area and you can answer with confidence because you know the difference!
